Our product team has been busy growing and developing all facets of the Squarespace platform. Today we’re pleased to share some of the recently launched features and integrations, including several updates to Squarespace Commerce.
This update to the Image Block introduces five new image and text layout options, providing more ways to express your content creatively. You can use our full font library to overlay text on or around images, creating poster and collage-like layouts without the need for image editing software. The new layouts are now available for the Image Block wherever blocks can be added.
Undo/Redo style tweaks
While making changes in the Style Editor, you can now undo and redo your last edits. To undo or redo, click the icons at the top of the panel. The entire history is saved until you exit the Style Editor. This makes it easy to explore styles without having to start from the beginning or undoing individual tweaks each time.
You can now transfer your third-party domains to Squarespace. Instead of working with multiple vendors to maintain your online presence, you are able to manage all of your domain and billing settings with Squarespace and take advantage of our easy-to-use DNS interface.
Single Sign-On allows you to automatically log into all of your Squarespace websites in one step. This makes for a seamless experience when switching between sites, starting new trials, and connecting a custom domain. The Account Dashboard provides a central place to access all of your account’s websites and domains, as well as manage your account settings and profile.
Our integration with Acuity Scheduling is now available for all sites. The Acuity Block allows you to add a scheduler directly to your site without the need for an embed code. This block is particularly useful for appointment or class-based business websites. Additionally, we’ve added an Acuity starter layout to make it even easier to create a professional bookings page.
Squarespace Commerce updates
We are constantly expanding our eCommerce capabilities, providing more ways for Squarespace merchants to broaden their customer base and sell more online. Here are the newest additions to Squarespace Commerce.
Now available for online stores, our Checkout on Your Domain feature allows you to direct customers to a custom, secure checkout page on your domain. Shoppers will see a domain that looks like this: https://yourdomain.com/checkout in place of the default Squarespace URL, providing a consistent look and sense of security.
Discounts can now be applied automatically at checkout, no code required (available on the Commerce Advanced plan). Other updates to discounts include the ability to track the number of uses, limit free shipping to specific shipping options, set a discount to never expire, and more. All of these features are available on desktop and the Commerce app for iOS and Android.
We’ve added support for 11 new currencies to Squarespace Commerce. Your customers are now able to make payments in the following currencies:
Czech Republic Koruna (CZK)
Hong Kong Dollar (HKD)
Israeli Shekel (ILS)
Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)
Mexican Peso (MXN)
New Zealand Dollar (NZD)
Philippine Peso (PHP)
Polish Zloty (PLN)
Russian Ruble (RUB)
Singapore Dollar (SGD)
Thai Baht (THB)
PayPal is now available for all online stores. As a trusted, secure, and seamless payment method, PayPal can help drive sales by providing shoppers with an additional way to pay and allowing you to reach new customers around the world.
Abandoned Cart Analytics now features a five-stage funnel that provides more insight into the full lifecycle of your shoppers. With this update you can track total carts, abandoned carts, recoverable carts, reminder emails sent, and recovered carts.
