Introducing the Squarespace Badge

As we mentioned in a previous post, Squarespace is dedicated to providing a framework for your ideas. Your content – and how you choose to present it – is up to you. The fact that you can completely remove all Squarespace branding from your website was a conscious decision on our part, and we have no plans to reverse this decision.

However, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting many of our customers who are very proud of using Squarespace to build their brands and identities, and would like to share that fact with the rest of the world. By popular request, we are pleased to present the Squarespace Badge, which is a small Squarespace logo that displays the copy “Powered By Squarespace” when you hover your mouse over it.

To display a Squarespace Badge on your Squarespace website, click “Overlays” on your Settings menu. Under “Squarespace Badge”, you can choose between a black or white logo, control the placement of the badge on your page, and choose to show the badge only when scrolling.

If you choose to show the badge on your website, please share a screengrab or link with us on Twitter with the hashtag #squarespace. As always, we look forward to hearing your feedback.
