Purlbee Makes Squarespace Cozy!

So we don’t know a thing about crafting here at Squarespace, but fortunately our client Purlbee sure does! Purlbee began as the online journal of Purl, a yarn shop located in Soho, NY, and with Squarespace as it’s building platform, Purlbee has expanded into an online community made up of millions and millions of members. For some time now Purlbee fans have been migrating over to Squarespace in order to start up their own crafting journals, and we have been working to introduce options that best meet the needs of these crafty Squarespacers.

Today we launch the Purlbeehive! It is a happy melding of Squarespace technology and Purlbee crafting knowledge. The Purlbeehive is a community made up of Purlbee fans sites and other craftacular Squarespace sites. You can create an account directly from the Purlbeehive site, and it starts you off with a style and structure akin to a craft journal.

We just want to thank the folks at Purl for all the hard work and energy they put into this launch. We hope all those crafters out there take a look!

Hi, it sounds great! I'm thinking to do the same thing (of course on a SS platform) releated to my core site (www.ilribelle.com). So, how can I do it? Can you help me?

Please, send an email to my address.

Thanks a lot,

Well...Hats Off to Purl Bee!

I must say that it was the beauty of Purl Bee's blog (featured in Squarespace's Examples page) that enticed me to thoroughly investigate Squarespace and its features.

What I wanted was a custom blog that truly looked artisitc and would be easy to maintain. I am in the final stages of investigating Squarespace's functionality ( as a Mac user, I need to make sure that all the features will work with my Mac!!). My hope is that they will and I can finally have my own blog up and running on Squarespace in a few short days.

Again---Thanks Purl Bee!!
