More than half of the people using Squarespace identify themselves as a small business. We’re always working to improve their experience, and today, we have two new useful features for our business customers and a new template, Bedford.
You can now add a Newsletter Block to any page to easily enable newsletter signups from your website. We’ve also released a Button Block, which makes it simple to inject a call to action into any page. You can change the text, colors, and button shapes of both Blocks in the Style Editor.
In addition, we’re happy to introduce our latest template design: Bedford. Bedford is particularly well suited for use by businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations.

You can turn the last link in your navigation bar into a button.
The main header image works as a Banner Area that functions in multiple ways, giving you control over headings, buttons, and text.
The Banner Area can also be used to showcase a slideshow of featured blog posts, or a slideshow of images using a Gallery Block.
Bedford has a ‘pre-footer’ area perfect for housing your newsletter block and an additional navigation area in the footer for your secondary links.
