We are proud to announce that last night, our Customer Care Team won a Gold Stevie Award for Customer Service Department of the Year - Computer Services. Our Director of Customer Care, Christa Collins, took home the Bronze Award for Customer Service Executive of the Year.

The Stevie Awards (also known as the American Business Awards) are the nation\u2019s premier business awards program. More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.

Since launching the new version of Squarespace last July, our support ticket volume has doubled, from 7,000 to over 14,000 tickets a week. Squarespace\u2019s Customer Care Team kicked off 2012 with 18 members and remains the largest department within the company with more than 50 employees at present.

We\u2019re constantly working to bring new features and improvements to Squarespace. We wanted to take a second to point out a few recent updates that we think you\u2019ll like:

  • New Account Switcher \u2013 For users who manage or contribute to multiple Squarespace websites, we\u2019ve made it simple to navigate between sites. Click on the Squarespace logo on the bottom left corner in your Website Manager. You can also start a new website directly from this menu, or remove inactive websites.

  • Form Builder Lightbox \u2013 You can now choose to open your contact form in a lightbox, rather than embedding it in the page. This means that very long or complex forms can appear to your visitors as a simple button, reducing clutter. From the settings menu of your Form Block, click on \u201CAdvanced\u201D, then select \u201CEnable Lightbox Mode.\u201D

  • RSS Block \u2013 Make it easy for visitors to add your feed to their newsreader. Adding an RSS block creates a subscribe button that you can add anywhere on your Squarespace website.

We\u2019d like to highlight a great example on Squarespace today: a website for the collaboration between Italian fashion house Bottega Veneta and renowned artist Nancy Lorenz. As a platform that supports creativity and artistic expression, we were thrilled that Bottega Veneta chose Squarespace to showcase Skies and Beyond, the third collection by Nancy Lorenz for Bottega Veneta.

The set of 25 one-of-a-kind leather and suede boxes follows two earlier collaborations between the brand and artist: \u201CLunar Landscapes\u201D collection of 2003, and the \"Botanical\" collection of 2002. An artist whose work regularly features in the Chahan galerie in Paris and the Morgan Lehman gallery in New York, Nancy Lorenz creates her pieces using luxurious materials such as mother-of-pearl inlay, lacquer, and gold leaf. The boxes are unique, singular pieces of art that can also be used to store letters, photos, jewelry\u2014the small treasures you want close at hand. The Skies and Beyond collection was exhibited at the Salone del Mobile International Furniture and Design Fair in Milan in April, and can now be admired on http://skiesandbeyond.bottegaveneta.com/ as well as in Bottega Veneta boutiques around the world.
